Because water makes up 98% of coffee, the composition of the water is very important. Excessive salinity (Chloride) increasingly leads to damage to materials in the coffee machine, such as heating elements, boilers, pumps and valves. For a better taste of your coffee and less maintenance on your coffee machine, Animo supplies various water filters.

PURITY C Quell water filters

The PURITY C Quell filter cartridges reduce the carbonate hardness in tap water and therefore significantly reduce the risk of limescale deposits in the coffee machine. In addition, metal ions such as lead or copper, turbidity and other odor and taste disruptors such as chlorine residues are filtered out.

PURITY C Finest water filters

PURITY C Finest optimized water, with ideal mineral contents, makes your espresso taste better by bringing out the individual aromas of the ground coffee. This creates the authentic espresso taste you prefer. Elements that negatively affect the coffee’s flavor and aromas, such as chlorine, are filtered out while the water ensures a consistent crema and color for that perfect espresso.

PURITY C Xtrasafe water filters

Water with a high salt and gypsum content can damage your valuable coffee machine. It can cause significant damage and additional maintenance and require earlier replacement of parts. The PURITY C XtraSafe provides targeted protection against the chlorides, sulfates and gypsum found in tap water in certain regions. It uses an effective five-step filtration process, including dual ion exchangers, to reliably improve water. In addition, recommended filtration bypass settings ensure the ideal water composition, including just the right carbonate hardness, for great-tasting coffee from your coffee machine.

Everpure’s water filter AC is specially designed for use with the Animo water cooler OptiCool. This filter uses powdered activated carbon as the filter medium. It removes all impurities down to 0.5 microns and all bad odors and tastes (such as chlorine) from the water.
