French bread with roasted coffee tomatoes

Everyone knows the bruschetta.
This baguette with roasted coffee tomatoes is a new variation on this.
Try making this recipe as an appetizer, tasty and quick!
Depends on the amount of tomatoes – 10 min preparation / 20-25 min, baking / 1-2 hours waiting time.

Here’s how to make it

  1. Heat the oven to 200 degrees (hot air)
  2. Line the baking sheet with the baking paper, wash the tomatoes and place them on the baking sheet. Pour 1 tbsp olive oil over the tomatoes turn them over.
  3. Roast the tomatoes for 20-25 minutes, take them out when the skins start to blister a bit, let them cool for 1-2 hours.
  4. Put the tomatoes in a bowl and add the olive oil and coffee, stir well and season with the coarse sea salt.
  5. Slice the baguette and top each slice with one tomato, garnish with some basil.



  • 1 kilo of cherry tomatoes
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp espresso powder
  • Coarse sea salt
  • 1 baguette
  • Basil
