Coffee caramel croissants

Here’s how to make it

  1. For the coffee maple syrup, mix the coffee and syrup in a saucepan over medium-high heat. Leave the heat on until the syrup boils. Then turn off the gas and remove the syrup from the heat.
  2. For the croissant French toast, cut the croissants in half. In a bowl, mix the butter, brown sugar and instant coffee. In another bowl, whisk the milk, eggs, vanilla and cinnamon until combined.
  3. Melt 2 tablespoons of the butter mixture in a skillet. Dip the croissant strips in egg mixture, this will give them a nice crust. Place the strips in the pan and turn often until the croissants caramelize. Serve them on a plate with the fresh fruit on top and finish with a little cinnamon.

  • 7 tablespoons of salted butter
  • 6 tablespoons of brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons of instant coffee
  • 1.5 cup of milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract
  • Cinnamon
  • 12 croissants
  • Fresh fruit

 

Ingredients syrup

  • 1 tablespoon of instant coffee
  • 3/4 cup maple syrup
